For Remy: Untitled poem about two little seagulls translated to English

On my way from one place to another I
Saw the two on the pavement just
Next to me
Not small but
Small yes small
The light grey new feathers
Two seagulls
Went past and looked back
Could they fly
One started crossing
The road a car
Came and I stopped hoped
Could they fly
The little grey ran back
To his brother I think it was his brother
They were lost maybe and I
The pain in the chest
What could I do
At least together the two grey ones
My little brothers my
Brothers and I continued on my way from
One place to another

På vei fra et sted til et annet
Så jeg de to på fortauet like
Ved meg
Passe store men
Små ja små
De lysegrå nye fjærene
To grå måkeunger

Dove

eyes moist red,
backpack girl looking,

stone
tiles, under a train
flyover,
dove standing,
here,
another dove lying,
not crushed so that she can't make out the head with beak and eyes
and body and wings,
not crushed so that there is blood,
but crushed all parts flattened together, a lump, still on stone tiles,

girl comes walking,
backpack girl says something,
it's obviously hurt, what's it gonna do?
they stand, still for a while,
girl walks away,
backpack girl walks the other way,

dove still standing here,
next to the other dove,
walks close, touches
the outer feathers with its feet,

man, woman with baby in arms, come walking,
man sees the birds,
woman sees the birds,
baby looking elsewhere, into air,
kadunk kadunk kadunk,
train on tracks,
kadunk kadunk kadunk,

dove still standing here,
walks around the other dove,
bends, beak
near the head,

young man and young woman talking walking,
looking at each other,
getting close to the doves,
man sees,
oh shit,
steps away,
passing by,

dove still standing here,
pokes the other dove on the back,
turns, stretches, fixes its own feathers,

boy and girl come walking,
oh, that's so sad,
looking while walking away,
girl with hand on mouth,
boy with smile,
dove walks on top of the other,
girl smiles,
look,
turns and walks back,
mobile phone out from purse,
takes a picture,
runs back to boy,
I can send it to you,

dove still standing here,
walks on top, poking,
feathers coming off,

boy and girl come walking,
hey, don't eat your fellow,

dove still standing here,
walks around the other dove,

man with plastic bag and two young boys,
boys run, man shouts,
boy sees birds,
looks over shoulder as he walks,
almost trips over,
runs after man, takes a free hand,

dove still standing here,
feet touching feathers,

oh guys, look at that,
that's sad,
it's a funeral,
ha ha ha,

dove still standing here,
fixing its feathers,

do you think he's been there looking after him the whole afternoon?

dove still standing here,
beak near head,

oh my god, I need to take a picture,
no, you don't,
yes, I do,
he killed him,
no, he didn't kill him,
it's very morbid,
even more morbid that you take a picture,
really close now,
hey you guys, we actually saw the fight,
kadunk kadunk kadunk,
kadunk kadunk kadunk,

dove dove dove in air,
settles on a metal piece under the flyover,
ceiling here, coo coo coo,
a third dove settles nearby,
dove flies over,
newcomer, if it is a newcomer, flies away

Hip bone

I had trouble falling asleep. I tried to get more comfortable, shifting to lie on my back, suddenly the left hand came to rest on the hip bone, so I could touch the hardness, skin but very thin over the bone, a bone like any other bone but this one a part of me right now, hip. For the hip bone it is not important whether the poem is read or not. I fell asleep.

I was born
(I don't remember)
I live (I want to
feel before I forget)
I will
die
